Joe Sak
Lead Developer
When our clients are brainstorming their projects with us and say “we’ll need editors, who manage surveys that our customers will take, and a CRM to manage customer support, and admins who can run reports on how all that’s used, and...” — it’s Joe’s job to create the systems to support them. He’s passionate about building quality software that people enjoy using.
Joe is Neoteric’s lead developer. He works in Ruby, Rails, HTML5, Sass, JQuery and Coffeescript. He is skilled at application modeling, database normalization, writing eloquent Ruby, and finding the best, simplest solution to a problem at hand. He’s contributed to numerous open source projects, including Spree e-Commerce, Refinery CMS, and Redactor-Rails.
He’s been seen at RubyNation, RailsConf, WindyCityRails, SCNA, and the Breaking Development Conference. You can meet up with him at SXSW this spring.
Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications, Information Studies & Media from Michigan State University in 2005. When he's not working, Joe enjoys volunteering for literary advocacy, playing the drums, spending quality time with friends and family, bike riding, and hanging out with his dog.
