The RubyNation 2012 Recap Series!
by Joe Sak
I went to RubyNation 2012!!! Aaaaaaa!!
It was awesome!!
I met some really cool people in the Ruby community, like Jim Weirich and Russ Olsen. And I got to have some great 1-on-1 time with Chicago's own Corey Haines, who gave the closing keynote and helped me get people out to our RubyNation edition of Code & Coffee. I learned a ton, and it was well worth the trip!
A huge thanks is due to Gray Herter and the volunteer staff who made it all happen!
I've got a series of recap posts I'm going to share over the next week or so, and here are the topics:
Thoughts to consider:
- Part I: Cannibalize Yourself (the opening keynote)
- Part II: Eloquent Explanations
Ruby Programming & Principles:
- Part III: The Story of Inheritance
- Part IV: Coding for Uncertainty
Tutorials:
Website Performance:
- Part VII: Using SPDY to Improve Page Load
So, the series begins with Cannibalize Yourself, find your patterns and disrupt your routine.
